Derek Charles Kinnear  (Broker)

​

Mr. Kinnear co-founded Charles Hart Real Estate and has been in and around the real estate industry for over 20 years.  His experience and expertise include property construction, multifamily investments and buyer and seller representation.  Over the years, he has consulted clients on thousands of multifamily units and has built a substantial portfolio of residential, retail, special purpose, and multifamily property.  

 

He attended The Ohio State University where he received a degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in structures.  While at OSU, he was a four year letter winner for The Ohio State Baseball team and was elected team captain by his teammates his senior year.  He also earned awards such as all Big Ten, Big Ten Player of the Week and was on the watch list for the Johnny Bench Award.

Mr. Kinnear is an active member of The Buckeye Club, The Buckeye Diamond Club, Varsity O, The Ohio State Alumni Association, Scioto Country Club, Pinnacle Golf Club, SEARCH Columbus and Rock City Church.

​

Mr. Kinnear resides in Upper Arlington, Ohio with his wife and two daughters.

William Hart Klopfer Jr.

​

Mr. Klopfer co-founded Charles Hart Real Estate after a successful career with a national real estate investment firm specializing in the acquisition, sale and joint venture of multifamily real estate.   He has consulted with owners on thousands of multifamily units and has built a substantial portfolio of residential, retail, special purpose, and multifamily property.

 

Mr. Klopfer is recognized by his peers in the Commercial Real Estate industry and by numerous Clients for his strong analytical and problem solving skills and strength as an advocate and counselor in real estate transaction matters.  

​

He graduated from Wittenberg University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration.​  While at Wittenberg, he was a member of the men’s basketball and golf team.

​

Mr. Klopfer is an active volunteer with the Columbus Dream Center, which provides hope to low-income, homeless, and underserved individuals and families in Columbus Ohio.  He has taken on leadership and mentor roles with Search Columbus and volunteers at Rock City Church.

​

He resides in Bexley, Ohio with his wife and two children.
